Livadi beach

Livadi beach is located in a picturesque cove in Thassos, surrounded by trees, high cliffs and thanks to the poorer access road, is also less visited. The place is renowned for its emerald waters and beautiful views. The coast is mainly coarse sand and pebbles mixed in, and the water is very clear, however there are sharp rocks on the sea bottom. Enty to the water is excellent, but avoid it if there is a strong southerly wind blowing. Sun loungers are usually available as well as a canteen for beverages and snacks but not always. The beach itself is almost 200 meters wide and 20 deep, so there is enough space to set up your own equipment or lie down your towel, even if part of the beach is occupied with sun beds.

Livadi is a small quiet and calm beach on the southeastern coast of Thassos, right under the monastery of Archangel Michael. It is 38 kilometers from Limenas and 12 kilometers from Potos. It is also close to Giola, so visiting both in one day is definitely an option. You can reach it via a bumpy dirt track which is almost 400 meters long. Once you arrive, there is ample free parking space at the rear of the beach amongst the trees. In the same area is the beach of Arsanas which is more organized but smaller. Both are serviced by the same road, so it is very easy to stop at both. If you tour this part of the island, do not miss to make a stop at the monastery of the Archangel Michael. All in all, Livadi beach is perfect for people who simply want to relax in the sun and enjoy a day on a beautiful beach.
