Sidari beach
Sidari is an amazing beach, located between the famous Canal d’ Amour and the port of Sidari, on the northwest top of Corfu. It is a long sandy beach with fairly shallow waters and lots of things to do. There are several water action activity companies offering high speed inflatable rides and parasailing as well as boat hire. Water is clear and warm but seaweed covers large chunks of the waters from time to time. The beach is covered with plenty of sun beds that belong to each of the beach bars and are usually free for customers if they buy something. Sidari beach is just a short walk to markets and restaurants. Both the village and the beach can get very busy at the peak of season, so if you do not like crowds and noisy beaches it is better to head to one of the nearby beaches.
Overall, Sidari is a great beach with lots to do for the whole family and shallow waters, so very safe for children. The beach is located 38,2 km (1h) from Corfu Town, 25,1 km (44 mins) from Paleokastritsa, and 76,6 km (1h and 48 mins) from Lefkimiin in southern Corfu. A day trip to Sidari beach can be perfectly combined with a boat trip out to Erikousa island which is by far the best thing to do here. Moreover, a trip to Cape Drastis is a must.
