Loggas beach
Loggas is a very scenic beach with clean and shallow waters, on the northwest side of Corfu. It is covered with sand and it is surrounded by giant vertical cliffs which consist mainly of clay sediments with layers of sand. The beach is so narrow that when the sea is turbulent the beach disappears. Loggas is regarded as one of the most scenic beaches of Corfu and one of the most beautiful places to visit on the island.
It is organized with sun loungers and parasols and has been awarded the blue flag many times due to the purity of its waters. It is worth staying till late to enjoy the sunset which is really stunning, watching the sun literally sink into the sea.
The beach is located 36 km northwest of the city of Corfu and the road to the beach passes through the village of Peroulades. The descent is a bit difficult as you have to go down a steep path. Do not forget to spread clay from the rocks over your body and face. In the wider area there are tavernas, hotels and rooms to let.
