Arilas beach
A beautiful clean sandy beach with clear shallow water that is perfect for family holidays. There are organized and non-organized options and the northern-most section is clothing optional if that is your preference. The north and south beaches are both sheltered by high cliffs but access may be limited by high water levels. The beach is long and fairly narrow in places with plenty of sunbeds for hire but also plenty of room for everyone. Showers are available at intervals to rinse sand/sea water off. The sand goes out a fair distance from the beach and the water is beautiful and warm. The beach gently rolls into the sea so even the weakest of swimmers would not have a problem.
There is free parking along the main street and lots of lovely tavernas around for food and drink. It is worth walking over the hill to Agios Stefanos; the views are great. The trail is steep in places so make sure you have suitable footwear. Within a short walk you can find cafes, bars, supermarkets and many accommodation options. This beach is very relaxing and a perfect spot to watch the sunset, which do attract lots of attention from all visitors, so it is well worth taking your camera. Arillas beach is located 40 kilometers away from the city of Corfu and you can get there by car or bus.
