Agios Georgios of Pagi beach
First of all, you need to know that there are two places called Agios Georgios on the west coast of Corfu - one in the north of the island, and one in the south. We will review Agios Georgios North – about 35 kilometers (45 mins) away from Corfu Town. Agios Georgios beach is a large expanse of shoreline in a stunning scenery, with a unique combination of sandy shores and surrounding mountains, providing a picturesque setting. It is a nice place for walks and there is plenty of room for sunbathing away from the crowds. The sand quality is excellent, making it a comfortable place to relax. The water is clear and lovely for swimming and safe for children; however, the water temperature is cold due to its open ocean location. There are plenty of sun beds and water activities towards the center, while behind the beach, there are lots of tavernas and bars for food and drinks. The sunset from Agios Georgios beach is brilliant, so is the view on Porto Timoni, one of Corfu’s best beaches. Overall, Agios Georgios is a beautiful beach with lovely scenery around and in all a great place to spend a warm sunny day.
