Charami beach
Charami is a lovey beach with pebbles and clear pristine water. The pebbles on the shoreline become sand as you access the water. The beach is located on the northern end of the island of Paxos, and has shallow and safe waters for children. Harami beach is a hidden gem in Lakka. You can get the bus from Gaios and the beach is only a few minutes’ walk in the corner of the harbor. If you have your own vehicle, you can park up outside the village and walk along its narrow streets leading to the coastal pathway. While walking along the rustic pathways, you will be treated to charming coastal views and the magnificent Lakka Bay. The sheltered bay with its clear turquoise waters is a popular place for boats to drop anchor and for their occupants to spend the day on the beach. On the beach there is a beach bar where visitors can dine or have a drink. The bar also provides sun beds for hire. Moreover, there are trees offering plenty of shade, toilet facilities and a watersport center.
Harami beach can be accessed by walking the coastal path from the harbor in Lakka or by heading up the hill at the eastern end of Lakka and accessing the beach from the road at the top. The latter route offers some stunning views of the bay from the hillside. The beach gets really busy for a couple of hours when the day trippers arrive from the pleasure boats but by 2pm they have all gone and it returns to a calm, tranquil beach. Harami beach is perfect for swimming and a great place to relax with or without kids. This is one of the best beaches in Lakka. We would highly recommend this beach.
