Ardas Festival takes place annually near the banks of the Ardas River, in the northern part of the Evros regional unit in Northern Greece. It is the most popular festival in the area, attracting thousands of young people from all over Greece and the neighboring Balkan countries. The festival includes various music, sport, traditional and cultural events, exhibitions and ecotourism tours. Through the years, it has created a fanatical audience which finds in this riverside festival, an alternative way of entertainment and fun. An important message is sent through music for the peaceful coexistence of people in this corner of Europe. The festival lasts five days and participate many famous singers and music groups from the Greek music scene.
