Local Wedding Representation
The representation of the Lefkadian traditional wedding (Choriatikos Gamos) is an annually event that takes place in the village of Karya on August 11. This is one of the most imprtant cultural events organized on the island of Lefkada. The event was organized for the first time in 1954 in the village's main square. All the customs of a local wedding are presented in every detail, from the first to the last day. All the people from the village participate in this great event.
