From Rafina

The only way to get to Andros is by ferry from Rafina port in Athens. Rafina port is one of the three ports of Athens located on the east coast of the Attica peninsula. The distance between Rafina port and Andos Island is approximately 36 nautical miles, making Andros one of the closest islands to Athens. Most of the ferries take around two hours to make the journey, but there are faster ferries that make the journey in one hour. Travelling by conventional ferries to Andos is more pleasant and definitely much cheaper.

Rafina port is very close to Athens International Airport, so visitors can land at Athens, transfer to the port of Rafina, and travel to Andros by ferry. The trip from the airport to Rafina port is very easy. A bus will get you there in about 40 minutes and a taxi in about 25 minutes. The bus from the airport departs from the Arrivals Level, between exits 2 and 3. If you are already in Athens and want to travel to Rafina port you can take a taxi or a bus from Nomismatokopio Metro Station in Athens. The trip takes about one hour. Of course, the easiest and fastest way to get to the port of Rafina is by your own means of transport via Attiki Odos, following the signs to Rafina. You can also take Marathonos Avenue, and turn right towards the port of Rafina without having to pay tolls.
