By Boat

From Piraeus

Tilos has no airport, so the only way to approach the island is by ferry. There is a choice of regular ferries running from the port of Piraeus in Athens to Tilos. During the summer there are usually 2-3 ferries a week. The ferry trip from Piraeus to Tilos lasts about 14 hours with stops along the way. The trip is quite long, so booking a cabin is highly recommended for a more comfortable trip. Cars are allowed on all ferries.

From Rhodes

The other choice to approach Tilos is through Rhodes. You can fly to Rhodes airport and catch the ferry from there. You can choose between taking a fast catamaran that will take you to Tilos in approximately 2 hours or taking a slower ferry. During peak season, there are usually 1-3 weekly crossings between Kamiros Rhodes and Tilos. The journey duration is about 2-2.5 hours depending on the ferry.
