By Plane: There is no airport in Ammouliani. The nearest airport is Thessaloniki International Airport “Macedonia” located in Thessaloniki, Greece. From the airport, you can take a taxi or public transportation to the port of Tripiti and then board the ferry to Ammouliani. The distance between the airport and Tripiti is 110 km (1 hour and 40 minutes). If you start your journey from Thessaloniki, the distance between Thessaloniki’s town center and Tripiti is 119 km (1 hour and 54 minutes).
By Ferry: The only way to reach Ammouliani Island is by ferry from the port of Tripiti (about 2-hour drive from Thessaloniki). The ferry ride to Ammouliani takes 15 minutes as the island it is not far from the mainland. The small port of Tripiti is located midway between Ouranoupoli and Ierissos, and you can reach it by car. taxi or bus from Thessaloniki. Buses depart from the town’s central bus station every day, and there are several daily trips.You can board the ferry as a foot passenger or you can take your vehicle with you.
