Venetiko Lighthouse
Venetiko is a steep rocky island of Chios in the Aegean Sea. It is located south of the southernmost point of the island of Chios (Cape Misticho or Tail). At the top of Venice there is a small automatic lighthouse and from the north side, the only accessible, stairs have been constructed to facilitate the maintenance of the lighthouse. The islet has been designated by the European Ecological Network NATURA 2000 as Special Protection Area for Falco eleonorae falcon species.
