Mikro Ammoudi beach
Mikro Ammoudi or Ammoudaki is a a gorgeous little cove in the prefecture of Rethymno, approximately 34 km south of the city. The beach with the white coarse sand and the turquoise waters lies between the beaches of Damnoni and Ammoudi and is a superb place to swim and snorkel. To the west there is a small cave with crystal clear blue waters while at the other end there is a small underwater hole connecting Mikro Ammoudi with Klisidi beach. Although it is not organized, there is a canteen which also rents sunbeds.
Mikro Ammoudi is a popular destination for naturists, but if that's not your thing, there are plenty of people in swimwear too. Right next, you can find Ammoudi, a family friendly beach and in between the two, Klisidi, a very small beach surrounded by rocks. Mikro Ammoudi can be easily accessed via the road from the village of Lefkogia. The road ends on a plateau where there is a parking lot. From that point a small path will take you down to the beach.
