Kalamitsi beach

Kalamitsi is a small village in Sithonia, built in a semi-circle, protected cove. It lies 25 km south of Sarti and 11 km east of Toroni. The cove hosts three pristine beaches with calm and shallow water, suitable for kids. All three are similar in size with the same perfect soft sand and remarkably emerald, clear waters, but still with different characteristics.

The main beach stretches out in front of the village, facing a beautiful rocky islet that is 40-50 meters offshore. It's worth swimming to the small island and climbing on the top, to enjoy a very nice view. The beach is open to everyone and part of it, is well-organized with parasols and sun loungers, provided by beach bars and restaurants. The eastern beach which is more isolated is a nudist paradise. To reach it, you have to walk through a small hill. The third one lies south, right in front of the camping. It also provides all the amenities as well as a variety of water sport activities such as paddle boats, scuba diving, and canoe rentals.

Kalamitsi can be reached easily by car. There is no organized parking lot, but along the beach there is enough parking space for the most visitors. Kalamitsi is a great place to spend time with friends or family. It boasts some rooms to let and a few traditional Greek taverns. During high season, the place becomes crowded easily, so be prepared for that.
