Monastery of Agios Panteleimonas

It is located on the northwestern side of the island. This monastery complex consists of a stone wall, a rectangular tower, a pebble stoned courtyard, cells, warehouses, a bank and an oven.

The church has a dome and early Christian capitals of columns are preserved in the interior. According to the inscription found in the church, the owner is said to be monk Jonah A’.

The frescoes on the wall represent Heaven and date back to the late 15th century. The tower that rises to the south of the main entrance of the monastery probably belongs to the Byzantine period.

The church was renovated in 1703 by Abbot Lawrence and was decorated in 1776 by Gregory Symaio.
