Cave of Archilochus of Paros
This is the most important cave on the island, close to the beach of Agios Fokas, about 10 minutes from Parikia. It is said that the great lyric poet Archilochus was inspired in this cave, as he would withdraw here and write for hours. Admittedly, the scenery is breathtaking; the cave is surrounded by steep rocks and white and blue waves, which disappear where the sea meets the sky.
