Church of Agios Georgios of Astipalea
The oldest church is Agios Georgios. It is built in 1790 and is located on the edge of the Querini Castle. It is a simple church, in the form of a basilica with a dome. It has a special wooden carved iconostasis and an episcopal throne. It is white with a blue dome, creating a contrast between the castles.
