Church of Agios Ioannis Theologos of Leros
This is the most remarkable medieval monument of Leros and one of the most important in the Aegean. The basilica was built in the early 10th century with a wooden roof which was later (around 1.200 A.C.) replaced with a dome, when the murals were added. Parts from early Christian monuments of the area were used for its construction. It is located in Lakki village.
