Municipal Library of Salamina

It is housed in the new City Hall - Cultural Center, in a hall bearing the name of the Salamis archaeologist and byzantinologist, Dimitris I. Pallas, who was professor at the University of Athens at the headquarters of Byzantine archeology in 1966. The library was created in 1998 and features a collection of 15,000 books and 10,000 titles, of all categories, all of which are classified according to the DEWEY decimal system. Finally, it has a local newspaper archive, as well as a record of writers of Salamina.
