Church of Panagia Paleokastritissa
A small white-white chapel, surrounded by trees and overlooking Amorgos, Naxos and other Cycladic islands, is Panagia Paliokastritsa. It celebrates every 8th of September. It is located in the old castle of Ios between Agia Theodoti and Psathi. The castle was built in 1397 by Venetius Markos Krispos and can not be excluded from previous Byzantine construction of the same use.
