Vigla Pisoderi Ski Center
Vigla Pisoderi is a small ski resort located in the northwestern part of Greece, near the town of Florina. This is one of the best ski resorts in Greece as well as one of the oldest. The summit of the resort is 1939m above sea level, with a total vertical drop about 420m. The resort has a view of the Lake Prespa, on the border between Greece, Albania and FYROM. The resort operates a modern chalet with rooms to stay and a restaurant with traditional food. There are 12 runs for skiers and snowboarders suitable for all levels and 5 lifts. The runs are labeled according to their degree of difficulty, and are located between 1,650m/5,413ft and 2,000m/6,562ft above sea level. Among the runs is the longest one in Greece (2100m) which fulfills all the Olympic standards. Vigla Pisoderi Ski Resort is 560 km away from Athens, 170 km from Thessaloniki and 250 km away from Ioannina. The nearest airport is at Thessaloniki and the nearest train station at Florina.
