Built high in the mountains and generally accessible only by foot, mountain refuges provide food and shelter to mountaineers, climbers and hikers. In Greece there are more than 160 such mountain huts spread all over the country. Most of them are well-equipped and allow anybody to access their facilities, although some require reservations. Staying in a mountain refuge is a truly unique experience worth experiencing!
