R2 - Kedros - Messaria
This trail is 1.1 km (0.42 mi) long and takes about 30 minutes to complete. The route starts from the main road shortly after the turn to Kedros beach and heads east, climbing uphill with continuous zigzags towards the peak of Bilitis. The peak is susceptible to strong winds, so be aware. From a certain point onwards, the route starts to descend until the villages of Ano and Kato Messaria. The two villages had once many residents as the area was the island’s hub with two windmills. Along the way, you will enjoy great views of Kedros beach, the village of Messaria and the old windmills.
