The settlement of Alones is very close to the one of Agia Marina, but with its own character.
It is a medium-sized village with the chapels of Saint Panteleimon (one of the most famous churches in the interior of Aegina) and Agios Efstathios. Follow the sign to Agios Efstathios and soon you will be next to the small river of the area.
Plenty of trees, quiet, and traditional houses characterize the place. The taverns of the area are very well known with traditional plates and warm hospitality by the locals.
