Fyropotamos Milos

Fyropotamos is a small, seaside, fishing village on the island of Milos and one of the most photographed places in the Aegean. The picturesque village with the famous "syrmata", the small houses with the colored doors and windows where local fishermen dock their boats during the winter and are used as summer residences by the owners. Nowadays some of those tiny houses have turned into traditional guesthouses, rented to tourists. Built in a small bay at the northern end of Milos, 4 km northeast of Plaka, the beautiful village with its stunning beach enchants the visitor.

Above the village stands the church of Agios Nikolaos, the patron of seamen and a bit further there are ruins of an old loading ladder.  To the left there is an organized beach with crystal-clear, green waters and some tamarisk trees offering natural shade. Fyropotamos is for sure the place for unforgettable moments of beauty and recreation.
