Linaria is the only port on
Skyros and is located on the southern coast of the island, overlooking the western side of the Aegean. The port is also home to Linaria Marina, which has received the
Blue Flag award several times.
Linaria is connected to Skyros Town (Chora) by an asphalt road of approximately 10 kilometres, making it a convenient base for exploring the island by car or public transport. From here, you can also easily reach popular coastal areas such as Magazia, Molos and Gyrismata, as well as Skyros Airport.
A local bus service connects Linaria with other parts of the island, while taxis and car and motorbike rental services are available close to the marina. The surrounding area also offers a selection of rooms, studios and apartments, along with cafés, restaurants and other useful services for visitors.
