In Greece, this special day takes place on August 18, 2025, when 18 remarkable lighthouses across the country open their doors to the public.

This is a rare chance to visit some of Greece’s most picturesque and historic lighthouses — from bustling port cities to serene islands — and learn about their importance in maritime safety and navigation. The lighthouses welcome visitors twice daily, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore and appreciate their charm.
