Agia Anna beach
Agia Anna is a really pleasant narrow beach with lots of places to rent loungers and umbrellas but with also many areas to just lay out your towel. It suits all tastes and is perfect for a quiet and relaxing day and the best place on the Island if wind is in the North. Sea is calm most of the time and the water is sparking clean and blue. The sand is thick and golden, making it easy to walk into with no need of beach shoes. Kids can play in the beach all day and surely will love it. There is a nude area at the eastern end of the beach if you are keen on nudism.
Lots of cafes, restaurants and hotels line the road on Agia Anna beach so everything is very close and handy. Some of the cafes offer beach service with reasonable prices. In the evening the cafes and restaurants turn the sun beds into tables and you can enjoy dinner on the beach watching the sunset. The beach is also close to plenty of amenities and boasting a host of beach clubs and bars. Yes, it can get very busy in high season, but it is still a paradise with gorgeous views and magnificent sunsets.
There is a small but busy marina at the south end of the beach where you can take excursions to other beaches of the island and to the neighboring islands of Koufonisi and Ano Koufonisi. It has easy transportation to and from Naxos Town and the bus from town drops you off right at the beach. It is definitely one of the best beaches in Naxos with very relaxing atmosphere and well worth a visit.
