From Piraeus
There are 6-7 ferries from the port of Piraeus to Kimolos Island every week, throughout the year. The distance between the two ports is 80 nautical miles and the crossing time is 8 hours with a standard vessel with several stops along the way at islands like Kythnos and Sifnos, and often more. The quickest way is to travel by a highspeed ferriy in 4 hours.
From Lavrio
During summer, there is also a ferry schedule from the port of Lavrio to Kimolos Island by a conventional vessel. The trip duration is approximately 14 hours.
Connection with other islands
Kimolos is connected by boat to Milos (1 hour), Sifnos (1-2.5 hours), Andros, Syros (4.5 hours), Ios, Kythnos (5 hours), Naxos, Paros, Santorini (4.20 hours), Serifos, Sikinos (2.10 hours), Tinos (4.40 hours) and Folegandros.The quickest way is to ferry or fly to Milos and then make your way to Pollonia where there is a small car ferry that connects the two islands.
