How to get to Skyros from Kymi of Evia and Volos

The main port of Skyros is in Linaria on the west coast of the island. The port is approximately 10 km from Chora and serves ferry routes to Euboea and to nearby islands. The most convenient way to travel to Skyros is to arrive at the port of Kymi, in Euboea. There is at least one daily crossing from Kymi to Skyros during winter and usually two during summer, Christmas and Easter. You can also travel to Skyros from Volos. There are indirect ferry crossings that include intermediate stops at the islands of Skopelos and Alonissos. The journey lasts 8-14 hours depending on the ferry combination you choose. These routes are seasonal and operate usually during summer.

Connection with other islands

Skyros is connected by ferry to Skopelos and Alonissos. Ferry connections between the islands of Northern Sporades and Skyros are usually seasonal.
