How to get to Fourni from Athens - Piraeus

There are at least 3 ferries a week from the port of Piraeus to the island of Fourni throughout the year. The route is served only by conventional ferries and the journey lasts between 7 and 15 hours depending on the intermediate port calls. 

How to get to Fourni from Kavala

For those travelling from Northern Greece there is a weekly ferry crossing from the port of Kavala to Fourni. The journey duration is around 20 hours and it is a good idea to book a cabin for extra comfort.

Connection with other islands

You can travel from Fourni to the North Aegean Islands as well as to Cyclades and Dodecanese. There are directly ferry routes to Ikaria, Samos, Chios (5:20 hrs), Lesvos, Lipsi, Leros (2 hrs), Limnos, Kalymnos (3 hrs), Kos (5 hrs), Inousses (6:10 hrs), Patmos (1:30 hrs), Mykonos (4:20 hrs), Syros, Rhodes (6 hrs) and Tilos. If you want to visit the island of Thymaina, there are daily boat sailings as well as some water taxis that serve the route. Fourni does not have an airport but you can fly to the neighboring islands of Ikaria and Samos and sail to Fourni. There are domestic flights to Samos International Airport from Athens, Thessaloniki, Chios, Lesvos and Rhodes all year round as well as charters from many European destinations in summer. There are also domestic flights to Ikaria from Athens International Airport, Thessaloniki and Lemnos. From Ikaria and Samos there is a daily crossing to Fourni but the timetatbles changes depending on the season.
