Panormos of Skopelos
Panormos, in the place of today's homonymous settlement, had a fortified Acropolis, on the hill "Palaiokastro", whose walls, with their extremely interesting masonry, are preserved in excellent condition. Several remains of other buildings are visible on the slopes of the hill. A beautiful path leads from the Acropolis to Panos Cave, unique in Skopelos, a monument of God's worship. This area offers one of the best possibilities to create organized visiting archaeological sites and has already been integrated into relevant programs.
