Pali
The small picturesque fishing village is located on the north side of Nisyros, 4 km from Mandraki, the capital of the island. Pali is a summer tourist resort due to its beautiful sandy beach and the mooring facilities it provides, enable to host sailing boats and yachts. The small village used to serve as a port for Emporio until the end of the 19th century when it began to be inhabited.
The church of Panagia Thermiani of 1871, the Roman baths and the "Ippokrateia Baths" of 1895 are among the highlights of the village. The "Ippokrateia Baths" built to exploit the hot springs of the area never been in operation. Pali has easy access to other beaches such as Lyes, Gialiskari and Pacheia Ammos. In the small picturesque village, you can find a few little fish tavernas and some rooms to let.
