Faros beach
This is a very nice beach sitting on a pretty and sheltered bay. It is small, so it gets busy quickly but there are another two beaches nearby so you can change the scenery. The beach has crystal clear water and nice views over the Monastery of Chrysopigi. It is a golden sand beach, always calm and you can wade quite a bit out in shallow water which makes it great for families. Faros beach is a nice mix of locals and visitors and a perfect place for a swim. Right on the beach, there are a few trees for shade and some nice beachside tavernas where you can enjoy a lovely traditional Greek meal. There also some basic facilities for shopping nearby.
Reaching the beach is very easy as it is only 10 minutes’ drive from Apollonia. At the end of the road there is a large parking area just a few yards to the village center. The bus service is also very good and the bus stop is very close. For quieter beaches with several shady trees, try the beaches to either side of Faros beach, i.e., Vlicho and Fasolou.
