A Lovely Seaside Escape with Stunning Aegean Views

Elios Beach stretches along the seaside village of Neo Klima, on the western coast of Skopelos Island. The village itself is relatively new, built in the 1980s in a lush pine-covered area of exceptional natural beauty — where the green of the forest meets the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea.

Beyond Elios Beach, visitors will find several stunning beaches, including Hovolo Beach (just next door), as well as the well-known beaches of Milia, Kastani, and Armenopetra.

What to Expect at Elios Beach

Elios is a wide, scenic beach framed by dense pine forest. Its shore is a mix of sand, fine and coarse pebbles, and the waters are crystal clear and inviting for a swim. Thanks to its west-facing orientation, the beach offers some of the most breathtaking sunsets on Skopelos — ideal for romantic evenings or relaxed late-afternoon lounging.

Neo Klima is a peaceful yet well-equipped village for visitors, where visitors can find hotels, rooms to let, traditional tavernas, restaurants, and even a small playground for children.

Marina & Boating Access

Elios Beach features a small marina and boat ramp, making it convenient for private boats and inflatable dinghies. Additional mooring facilities are available at Skopelos Town (2 spots), Agnontas (1), and Loutraki (1). For swimming, the right side of the beach (as you face the sea) has a better seabed, while the left side is less ideal — although Hovolo Beach, located just past it, is the standout.

How to Get to Elios Beach (Neo Klima)

Reaching Elios Beach is easy via the island’s road network. Local buses also serve the village. From Skopelos Town (Port), you can take one of three driving routes:

  • Via Agios Riginos Monastery – 20.3 km, about 31 minutes
  • Via Stafylos and Agnontas – 24.2 km, about 34 minutes
  • Cross-island route – 15.7 km, around 31 minutes

Why Visit Elios Beach?

Elios Beach is a favorite among both locals and visitors during the summer, offering a serene and scenic alternative to Skopelos' more crowded spots. Whether you're after a quiet swim, golden sunsets, or a relaxing village atmosphere, Elios Beach deserves a spot on your travel list.
