How to get to Astypalea from Piraeus

The ferry is probably the easiest and cheapest way to reach Astypalea. There is a regular connection between Astypalea and Piraeus Port in Athens throughout the year. The distance between the two ports is 147 nautical miles so the trip is quite long. It takes around 9,5 hours with stops at other islands along the way to get to Astypalea, therefore all boats have cabins to make your journey more comfortable. Boats to Astypalea depart from Gate E1. All the gates are served by the port’s free bus. The easiest way to book ferry tickets is online.

Connection to other islands

You can reach Astypalea from most of the Dodecanese islands (Rhodes, Halki, Kos, Symi, Kalymnos, Nisyros, Kastelorizo, Tilos) as well as from Paros, Naxos, Syros, Donousa and Amorgos.
