Near the settlement of Dipotama and the valley of Arkoudorema, in the mountainous area of Drama, is located the waterfall of Agia Varvara with a height of more than 15m. It belongs to the Forest Complex Trachoni - Dipotamo and Park (Lepida forest) and is surrounded by rich alder and oak vegetation.
The water of the waterfall comes from the stream of Varvara, which joins a little below the waterfall with the stream of Arkoudorema.The waters form a small lake, home to trout, as well as crabs, water snakes and dragonflies. From the top of the waterfall you can take wonderful panoramic photos.
The wider area has been designed as a recreation area, making the place ideal for daily excursions and gathers several nature lovers, families and hikers. The path to the waterfall of Agia Varvara is about 300 m. long through the forest and starts from the parking lot.
