Naval Museum of Glossa

Skopelos is famous for its cultural heritage and its history. In the village of Glossa in Loutraki, there is the Hellenic Foundation's Cultural Heritage Museum and the library of the Perseus Athenian Public Benefit Foundation. The inhabitants of Glossa have christened this museum "Nautical Museum" because of its theme that closes within it the naval island of the island and its relationship with the navy, the Greek ship and the sea. The Navy General Staff and the Navy History Service have contributed to the content of the Museum, under the Director Panagopoulos, while many members of the navy have contributed to the Museum "Perseus Athenian" of the Museum their author's work. The museum also exhibits photographs of Submarine Katsonis and Capten Laskos, donated by Beata Asimakopoulou. The building was built in 1926 and renovated by local craftsmen in 2007.
