Bridge of Neraida
The single-arched stone bridge of Neraida (Fairy Bridge) is well hidden in a dense forest, at an altitude of 800 meters, near the village of Vourgareli, in the prefecture of Arta. The bridge was built in the 19th century and spans over Sarandaporos stream, a tributary of Arachthos river. It is one of the many bridges in the area which stands out for its architecture and the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
The bridge is situated near the road that connects Arta with Vourgarli, just before entering the village. A short hiking trail, ideal for all ages, leads to the bridge that once was the main entrance to the village.
