Kardiani, is one of the most beautiful villages in Tinos. It is built on the slopes of Mount Pateles, 16km away from Chora. In this village was born Agia Pelagia who visioned the place that the icon of  Virgin Mary was found. If you take a walk in the traditional village, you will be impressed by its architecture: paved alleys, small white houses, arches, marble fountains and many other features that make it unique. The most of the village's buildings are made of marble. The spectacular view of the sea, combined with the green scenery and the shade offered by the plane trees, create an idyllic scenery.

Characteristic is the marble five-storey bell tower of the Catholic church of the Annunciation. The village is inhabited from old times, by Orthodox and Catholics, who coexist harmoniously over the centuries. The Orthodox church, Holy Trinity, is a listed monument and at the same time, an imposing church. The two Catholic churches are the Annunciation of Theotokos ("Santissimos") and the Birthday of Virgin Mary (Kiura). Α small river runs through Kardiani and in the village there are many springs with beautiful traditional fountains.

Since the summer of 2009, at the Multipurpose Cultural Center, operates the Historical Folklore Museum of Kardiani with many exhibits offered by the villagers. At the Museum's premises, the visitor can see objects from the life of the Kardianians in the last century. A great contribution to the preservation of this rare beauty and heritage is the Brotherhood of the Kardianians "AGIA TRIAS", whose activity dates fifty years back. Kardianis beach (a long pebble beach), is one of the most beautiful western beaches of Tinos, which extends to the homonymous bay or its other name, "Giannaki" bay.
