Escape to Amarantos Cape, a charming promontory on Skopelos Island, celebrated for its breathtaking scenery. The highlight? Two curved pine trees atop a striking white rock, a romantic spot where couples often exchange vows or capture unforgettable wedding photos.

Marvel at the combination of green pine trees, white rocky cliffs, and deep blue waters, a truly magical sight. Locally called “The Pool” for its calm waters, Amarantos Cape is perfect for photography lovers, explorers, and anyone seeking a serene escape. Its beauty has been captured in thousands of travel photos and features in many Skopelos guides.

While it doesn’t have a beach, the scenery alone makes the visit worthwhile. Adventurous souls can dive off the rocks into the crystal-clear waters, ideal for snorkeling and underwater exploration. The seabed is pristine and inviting for underwater adventures.

Location & Access:

Amarantos Cape lies past Stafylos and Velanio beaches, just before the village of Agnontas. The road gets you close, followed by a short, easy walk to the cape. The trail starts just after a sharp bend and is suitable for most visitors.

Hikers can take one of two scenic routes:

  • From Agnontas village, a 1.7 km (27-minute) walk leads directly to the cape.
  • From Stafylos Beach, a longer 5.3 km (1 hour 18 minutes) trail offers a more immersive journey.

This breathtaking location has even been featured in the globally beloved movie Mamma Mia!, making it a must-visit spot for travelers seeking unforgettable views, photo opportunities, and a touch of cinematic magic.
