How to get to Psara from Athens - Piraeus
You can travel to Psara from the port of Piraeus with a conventional ferry. There are at least two crossings a week, and the trip duration is about 7 hours depending on the number of port calls en route. All ferries have cabins to make the journey more comfortable. If you are travelling by plane, you should know that there isn’t an airport on the island. You will have to fly to Athens International Airport and then catch the X96 bus or the metro to get to Piraeus port, or you can take a domestic flight to Chios National Airport and catch the ferry from there. There are daily flights from Athens to Chios Airport all year round.
Connection to other islands
You can also travel to Psara from the neighboring islands of Chios in 4 hours, Inousses in 2 hours and Lesvos in 6 hours and 15 minutes.
