Poseidon Athens Half Marathon 2026

The Posidonia Half Marathon and its parallel races—one of the biggest running events on the Athens Riviera—return on Sunday, April 26, bringing together a record number of participants and international runners from 67 countries and 90 nationalities. As the first half marathon ever established in Athens, the event has grown into a globally recognized race, now celebrating its 17th edition.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Saronic Gulf, the race offers scenic coastal routes with both the start and finish line at the Palaio Faliro Municipal Sports Center. Expect breathtaking seaside views, vibrant energy, and a truly international atmosphere.

Race Categories & Distances

The 2026 program features six race options, catering to all fitness levels—from beginners to experienced runners:

• Half Marathon (21.1 km): The flagship race passing iconic coastal landmarks such as Flisvos Marina, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Edem Beach, and Alimos Marina
• 10.5 km Race (Quarter Marathon)
• 5 km Road Race
• 5 km Dynamic Walking Race
• Charity Race (1,000m or 2,000m): Supporting the Panhellenic Association for Adapted Activities “ALMA,” helping children with intellectual disabilities and autism
• Kids Race (1,000m): For young runners up to 12 years old

Registration & Participation

Entry fees vary depending on the race category. In case of cancellation, registration fees are non-refundable, but participants can transfer their entry to the next event or to another runner.
