Kalotaritissa
The tiny quaint village of Kaloritissa with its low stone houses is located at the northeast end of Donoussa. Its bay is the most popular anchorage among sailors. The small village is characterized by a wild setting and is surrounded by mountains flowing into a turquoise sea. In the village, there are several small beaches (Kalotaritissa, Trypiti) with clear waters, and a traditional tavern with excellent food. Kalotaristissa is at the end of the road starting from Stavros. You can reach it by car, bus or on foot in 1 hour and 15 minutes, if you want to explore the island’s countryside. The village is populated by a few elderly people and has a small church which is the only attraction. If you are looking for a calm atmosphere, peaceful beaches and a wild setting, Kaloritissa should be in your bucket list.
