The twin waterfalls are located near the village of Kriopigi on the western slopes of the Tzoumerka mountains. They are located at an altitude of 1,360 meters and they are of the highest waterfalls in Greece. The twin waterfalls are almost parallel. The left one has a height of 87 m. while the one on the right has a height of 100m. and more water. The waterfalls are one of the main attractions in the area as they are very impressive, attracting lots of visitors throughout the year.

It is easy to reach the waterfalls through a paved path. The best time of the year to visit the waterfalls is at the end of May as then the amount of water is much greater. Their water end up in the river Arachthos. The flora and fauna around the waterfalls are quite rich.
