Tsougria
Tsougria is a small islet opposite the port of Skiathos. An unspoilt, exotic paradise covered by dense vegetation of pine trees. The small islet has many stunning beaches, making it a popular destination during the summer months. It is well known among yacht owners and many yachts and sailing boats anchor in its waters. There are daily excursions to Tsougria from the port of Skiathos and the port of Achladia.
Tsougria has three lovely sandy beaches with crystal-clear blue watres. Two of them are organized and have sun loungers with umbrellas to hire, but usually they are not enough for all the visitors. The most impressive beach is at the northern end of the island and looks like a small sand dune. There’s a charming little church on the hillside just south of the main beach which is a nice place for a wander or to get some photos of the island. The small chapel was built in the 1960s, with materials found on the islet, mainly stones and slabs. The fishermen call it "The church of the cliff".
